Yes, the Fourth annual High Altitude and Mountain Medicine Course returns to Mt. Rainier! Our previous courses in Washington, Cotopaxi, Ecuador and Chamonix, France were tremendously successful, and this promises to be the best yet.

Objectives

This course will provide the information and skills to manage mountaineering injuries and travel-related illnesses. Topics will cover evidence-based management of climbing injuries and altitude illnesses; Participants will learn the challenges and health risks of the alpine environment.

Endorsed by the American Academy of Emergency Medicine www.aaem.org/index.php

This Activity has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 21.75 Prescribed credits by the American Academy of Family Physicians.

This course has been approved by the American College of Emergency Physicians for 22 hours of ACEP category 1 credit.
